Job summary

Suffolk Construction is seeking an MEP Project Manager to lead and coordinate mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection activities across the full project lifecycle. You will oversee subcontracts, bid tabs, submittals, requisitions, change orders, and commissioning coordination.

You will liaise with BIM/VDC teams, A/E partners, and field staff to ensure schedule adherence and quality. A strong background in MEP systems and code compliance is essential for on-site leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, electrical or fire protection.
• 5+ years experience with mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection systems.
• 2+ years of project management experience.
• Strong computer skills: MS Excel, Word, Outlook.
• Ability to read drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of BIM/VDC coordination and building codes (local/international).
• Experience with inspections, submittals, and change orders.

Responsibilities

• Review mechanical bid tabs and exhibit B in contract.
• Interview and select subcontractors for each project.
• Manage day-to-day MEP subcontractor activities.
• Review and approve MEP monthly requisitions and change orders.
• Oversee MEP & FP contractor and commissioning agent.
• Coordinate with AHJs and inspections and obtain sign-offs.
• Work with BIM/VDC and Superintendent to maintain schedule coordination.
• Develop and monitor equipment delivery logs and long-lead item submittals.
• Attend owner, subcontractor, coordination and field meetings.
