Job summary

Suffolk Construction is seeking an experienced MEP Project Manager to lead mechanical, electrical and plumbing coordination on complex Texas projects. You will manage field inspections, subcontractors, and documentation throughout the project lifecycle, review bid tabs and submittals, and drive schedule adherence with BIM/VDC coordination and the project team.

The ideal candidate has a BS in mechanical/related field, 5+ years in MEP systems and at least 2 years of project management, plus strong

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical or Fire Protection.
• 5+ years experience with Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Fire Protection Systems.
• 2+ years project management experience.
• Strong MS Excel/Word/Outlook skills.
• Ability to read and comprehend drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of BIM/VDC coordination.
• Familiarity with Local, City, State codes and LEED requirements.

Responsibilities

• Review mechanical bid tabs and Exhibit B in contract.
• Interview and select sub-contractors for each project.
• Day-to-day management of MEP sub-contractors.
• Review and approve MEP monthly requisitions.
• Review and approve MEP change orders.
• Site walks to verify schedule progress; update schedules.
