Job summary

VINCI Construction Grands Projets USA is seeking a Senior Project Engineer (Mechanical, Electrical and Commissioning) for a heavy civil infrastructure project in Virginia. You will provide technical and managerial support to construction operations on the I-64 HRCP design-build program through mid-2027.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s in civil engineering or related field, 10+ years in heavy civil construction, and strong coordination with owners and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Construction Management or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in a construction or engineering firm with a focus on heavy civil infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of construction equipment, drawings and specifications, building materials, and standards applicable to the project.
• Strong interface and communication skills; ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• As a Senior Project Engineer (Mechanical, Electrical and Commissioning), provide technical and managerial support to construction operations.
• Lead project meetings and disseminate information pertaining to the project.
• Review technical specifications/drawings and resolve issues with the owner/EOR.
• Develop Work Plans and Procedures to start construction and obtain approvals.
• Manage RFIs/FDCs and NCR resolutions with the EOR and owner.
• Schedule and monitor program activity to ensure on-time results; coordinate with external suppliers.
• Create BOMs referencing drawings and specifications; review quotations and costs.
• Coordinate subcontractors and change orders; ensure proper project charges for accounting.
