Job summary

VINCI Construction Grands Projets USA is seeking a Field Engineer (Mechanical, Electrical and Commissioning) to support the Area Manager and project team on the I-64 HRCP project in Virginia. The role requires coordinating drawings, schedules, and subcontractor work to keep the construction on time and within budget.

You will review specifications, assist with design input, and ensure quality assurance through daily field activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• 1+ years of construction engineering on heavy civil projects.
• Knowledge of construction equipment, drawings, specs, materials.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication with team.
• Willingness to work on-site at a heavy construction site.

Responsibilities

• Collects, coordinates, and analyzes drawings, specs, material requirements and data to ensure quality and contract compliance.
• Plans field layout and marks utilities and lines before production.
• Assists estimating with schedules and technical input.
• Coordinates subcontractor work methods, schedule and crews.
• Reviews production schedule and ensures materials/equipment are ready.
• Documents daily activities and reports schedule changes.
• Reviews project specifications for QA and handles inspections and certificates.
• Reviews and approves daily timecards with supervisors.
• Maintains company values and supports management direction.
