Job summary

Meade is seeking an experienced Mechanical Designer III to join our mechanical design team. The scope includes data centers, industrial buildings, offices, and other high-profile projects; collaboration with staff, clients, vendors, and external disciplines is essential.

Responsibilities include developing HVAC and plumbing layouts in Revit, performing load calculations, and ensuring code compliance and energy efficiency while coordinating with other disciplines and participating in site

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in MEP mechanical design.
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Proficiency with HVAC design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and load software.
• Familiarity with HVAC codes, standards, and best practices.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Support the design and documentation of mechanical and plumbing systems using Revit.
• Develop detailed HVAC and plumbing layouts including ductwork, piping, and equipment placement.
• Perform load analysis, equipment sizing, and system performance optimization.
• Coordinate with architects, electrical and structural engineers for integration in Revit models.
• Write and edit mechanical equipment specifications and select equipment.
• Review submittals, RFIs, change orders, and assist with record drawings and commissioning.
• Ensure designs comply with local, state, and national codes and sustainability requirements.
• Collaborate with project managers, clients, and vendors to resolve technical challenges.
• Stay updated on Revit features and best practices to improve design workflows.
