Job summary

Meade is seeking an experienced Mechanical Designer III to join our Mechanical design team, focusing on data centers, industrial buildings, offices, and high-profile construction projects. You will collaborate with staff, clients, vendors, and external disciplines to deliver integrated mechanical systems in Revit.

The role emphasizes HVAC and plumbing layouts, detailed documentation, engineering calculations, and adherence to codes and sustainability goals, with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in MEP mechanical design.
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Proficiency with HVAC design software including AutoCAD and Revit.
• Familiarity with HVAC codes, standards, and best practices.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Support design and documentation of mechanical and plumbing systems in Revit.
• Develop HVAC and plumbing layouts with ductwork, piping, and equipment placement.
• Perform load analysis, equipment sizing, and performance optimization.
• Coordinate with architects and engineers for integrated designs.
• Write and edit equipment specifications, select systems and devices.
• Review submittals, RFIs, changes, and assist with site visits and commissioning.
• Ensure designs meet building codes, standards, and sustainability requirements.
• Collaborate with project teams to improve design efficiency.
• Stay updated on Revit features and best practices.
