Job summary

Meade is seeking a Mechanical Designer III to join our Mechanical design team. You will support the design of mechanical and plumbing systems using Revit for data centers, industrial buildings, and offices, including HVAC layouts and equipment placement.

Responsibilities include performing load analyses, sizing equipment, coordinating with other disciplines, and ensuring code compliance. You will contribute to energy efficiency initiatives and participate in site visits and commissioning

Qualifications

• 4+ years in MEP mechanical design.
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, and HVAC load calculation software.
• Familiar with HVAC codes, standards and best practices.
• Experience with BIM, CFD, and energy modeling for HVAC design and analysis.
• Experience with LEED, ENERGY STAR, or USGBC.
• Commissioning experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and documentation of mechanical and plumbing systems using Revit for data centers, industrial buildings, offices, and related projects.
• Develop detailed HVAC and plumbing layouts within Revit, including ductwork, piping, and equipment placement.
• Perform load analyses and equipment sizing to ensure optimal performance.
• Coordinate with architects, electrical, structural, and other disciplines for integrated models.
• Write and edit mechanical equipment specifications considering cost and energy efficiency.
• Review submittals, RFIs, and change orders; assist with record drawings and site visits.
