Job summary

Meade is seeking an experienced Mechanical Designer III to join our mechanical design team on data center, industrial, and office projects. You will collaborate with staff, clients, vendors, and other disciplines to deliver integrated Revit models and detailed HVAC/plumbing layouts.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in MEP mechanical design
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field
• Experience with HVAC design software (AutoCAD, Revit)
• Familiarity with HVAC codes and best practices
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Attention to detail and organization

Responsibilities

• Support design and documentation of mechanical and plumbing systems using Revit
• Develop HVAC and plumbing layouts with ductwork and equipment placement
• Perform load calculations and equipment sizing for performance optimization
• Coordinate with architects and other engineers for integrated models
• Write and edit equipment specs and select energy-efficient systems
• Review submittals, RFIs, and change orders, and assist with site visits
• Ensure compliance with building codes and sustainability standards
• Collaborate with project team to resolve challenges and improve efficiency
• Stay updated on Revit features and HVAC best practices
