Job summary

Meade is a full-service design firm seeking a Mechanical Designer III to join our Mechanical design team. The role centers on supporting the design of mechanical and plumbing systems for data centers, industrial buildings, offices, and other high-profile projects using Revit.

You will develop HVAC layouts, perform load calculations, and ensure designs meet codes and energy efficiency goals while collaborating with architects, clients, and vendors.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in MEP mechanical design.
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Proficiency in HVAC design software (AutoCAD, Revit) and load calculation tools.
• Strong communication and ability to work under pressure.
• Knowledge of codes and sustainability practices.

Responsibilities

• Support the design and documentation of mechanical and plumbing systems using Revit for various projects.
• Develop detailed HVAC and plumbing layouts within Revit, including ductwork and piping placement.
• Perform engineering calculations for load analysis, equipment sizing and system performance optimization.
• Coordinate with architects and other engineers to ensure integration within Revit models.
• Write and edit mechanical equipment specifications and select equipment considering cost and energy efficiency.
• Review submittals, RFIs, and change orders and participate in site visits.
