Job summary

C&W Services (S) is seeking a Union Operating Engineer to ensure the efficient operation and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for assigned properties. The role includes rounds, preventive maintenance, and repairs to provide a safe, comfortable environment.

Responsibilities cover HVAC, electrical, plumbing systems, energy management, and life-safety duties, with a focus on compliance and safety.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; apprentice/trade school preferred.
• 5+ years operating mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in commercial properties.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems across buildings.
• Maintain heating equipment, chillers, DX units, pumps, cooling towers, and air distribution systems.
• Monitor and adjust mechanical equipment and control systems to ensure comfort and efficiency.
• Perform preventive maintenance per standards, including cleaning and inspection of components.
• Repair building fixtures, doors, ceilings, and general systems as needed.
• Document activities and respond quickly to emergencies or safety concerns.
