Job summary

C&W Services (S) is seeking an Operating Engineer to ensure efficient operation and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems across assigned properties. You will perform rounds, preventive maintenance, and housekeeping to maintain safe, clean environments.

The role requires 5+ years of related experience, relevant licenses, and strong troubleshooting skills to sustain building performance and energy management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; apprentice program or trade school preferred.
• 5+ years of related work experience in operating mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in a commercial property setting.
• Appropriate licenses/permits for trade may be required (e.g., Electrician license, Refrigeration certificate, Boiler license).

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems in the building(s).
• Maintain heating equipment, chillers, DX units, pumps, and air distribution systems.
• Monitor and adjust mechanical equipment and control systems for comfort and efficiency.
• Perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance per standards and schedules.
• Respond to emergencies and coordinate with property management as needed.
