Job summary

Golden 1 Credit Union in Elk Grove, CA is seeking a Member Service Specialist III to join our branch team. This non-exempt role reports to the Branch Manager and handles teller duties, various financial transactions, and member support with a focus on service quality and accuracy.

You will process deposits and withdrawals, open accounts, and refer members to suitable products. The position includes coaching newer MSS staff and participating in daily branch operations to ensure smooth service

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of prior banker experience preferred.
• 1+ year MSS II or teller experience at Golden 1 or another financial institution preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process and audit deposits, withdrawals, transfers, payments and general ledger entries while maintaining a cash drawer.
• Provide Golden 1 services including cashier’s checks, money orders, wire transfers and debit card issuance.
• Assesses members' needs and documents opportunities in EnAct system.
• Assist in proper branch operations and open deposit and specialty accounts (e.g., Roth IRA).
• Mentor MSSIs/MSSII and coach through training courses.
