HM Insurance Group is seeking an experienced underwriter to price quotes and analyze group contract structures based on claims experience and employee characteristics. The role operates within HMIG's risk framework to ensure profitability and strategic alignment.

You will review renewals and new business, assess risk, and prepare reports supporting pricing decisions. Travel and office presence may be required as part of coordination with clients and brokers.

Formación

• 5-7 years' experience in underwriting self-funded and converting fully insured prospects to self-funding
• Bachelor-level quantitative degree or equivalent experience
• Strong analytical and financial modeling skills

Responsabilidades

• Renew accounts and write new business at profitable levels to help HMIG achieve targets and volume.
• Calculate rates, interpret pricing policy and adapt to unusual situations.
• Identify questionable claim patterns and advise on pricing implications for renewals and prospects.
• Apply corporate risk management policies and adjust pricing for unusual scenarios.
• Ensure client compliance with risk management policies and enrollment criteria.
• Recommend pricing adaptations to fit client-specific situations.
• Analyze member risk and coordinate with internal teams to manage it.
• Support fraud detection, compliance, wellness/disease management and product development efforts.
• Complete renewals and quotes with timeliness and accuracy.
• Adapt to changing markets and priorities while communicating rationale for pricing decisions.
