Qualifications

• ASCP certification as a Medical Technologist is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interviews prospective candidates for positions in the laboratory and makes recommendation to Manager.
• Evaluates new hires performance and conducts performance reviews on employees assigned.
• Schedules employees for various lab benches and shifts; reviews all work performed in area to ensure completeness and quality.
• Discusses performance issues with employees and recommends disciplinary action to Manager.
• Interprets and correlates clinical test results with patient history, diagnosis, and clinical condition to explain test results.
• Maintains accurate records of tests performed, using computer-based systems.
• Ensures compliance with all laboratory quality and safety policies.
