Allegheny Health Network is seeking a laboratory professional to perform routine and high complexity analyses on clinical specimens and assist with daily department operations. You will verify test method performance, operate instrumentation, and ensure quality results while collaborating with the lab team.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in an ASCP eligible program or equivalent.
• 3 years of clinical laboratory experience.
• Meets ongoing education requirements for certification.
• MLT (ASCP) or equivalent.

Responsabilités

• Performs routine and high complex laboratory analyses on clinical specimens.
• Operates, calibrates, checks and maintains instrumentation.
• Verifies analytic accuracy, precision, sensitivity, and linearity for test methods.
• Communicates with manager, supervisor or co-workers concerning lab needs and supplies.
• Serves as a consultant to laboratory personnel and other health care providers.
• May collect and process patient specimens per policies and procedures.
• May mentor MT/MLT, phlebotomy, and lab processor students and new employees.
• Other duties as assigned or requested.
