Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in ASCP eligible program.
• ASCP MLS/MT Certification (or Categorical) required within 1 year of hire (PA) / NY within 6 months for new grads.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and highly complex laboratory analyses on clinical specimens across sections.
• Operates, calibrates, checks, and maintains instrumentation to ensure quality results.
• Provides oversight and mentors ALT, MLT, phlebotomist, students, and new employees to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Serves as a consultant to medical laboratory technicians and health care providers; participates in continuing education.
• May collect and process patient specimens within policies and time frames.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
