Job summary

CVS Health Corporation seeks a Senior Medical Director, Clinical Informatics to lead clinical product and technology across Epic-enabled platforms and align Epic workflows with enterprise strategy. You will collaborate with clinical and operational leaders to advance care delivery.

This role emphasizes governance, safety, and continuous improvement, with opportunities to mentor teams and influence major go-lives while maintaining patient safety and experience at the center.

Qualifications

• Licensed clinician with MD/DO/NP/PA in good standing.
• Approximately 20% clinical FTE ongoing.
• 10–12 years of relevant work experience.
• Strong clinical outcomes, patient experience and teamwork track record.
• Epic Builder training and certification (or willingness to obtain within timeframe).
• Minimum 5 years of ambulatory clinical practice.
• Experience in clinical product, clinical informatics, safety, quality improvement, healthcare operations, or workflow redesign.
• Strong executive presence with senior stakeholders across a large enterprise.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and change management skills.
• Experience leading projects, quality improvement initiatives, or large organizational change efforts.
• Knowledge of value-based care, quality metrics, and patient safety strategies.
• Familiarity with interoperability standards and HIPAA.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the senior product leader across Clinic Operations and Quality & Stars domains, offering clinical insight to drive end-to-end technology solutions.
• Lead enterprise-wide Epic optimization efforts to improve clinical workflows, efficiency, quality, and patient safety.
• Translate organizational priorities into Epic workflows, decision support, reporting, and clinician tools across the enterprise.
• Support Epic upgrades, testing, implementation, and change management; accountable for go-lives and major releases.
• Monitor adoption and effectiveness of Epic enhancements enterprise-wide and recommend improvements.
• Participate in enterprise governance committees and partner with leaders to translate needs into technology roadmaps.
• Present enterprise status, risk, and outcomes to leadership and governance committees.
• Mentor and develop clinical informatics team members across the enterprise.
