The position includes performing lab tasks, venipuncture, and processing CLIA-waived tests, while administering medications and vaccines per safety rules. You will manage referrals, scheduling, and communication across teams.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or structured military training in lieu of a formal program.
• 2 years of verifiable full-time Medical Assistant experience within the last 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to MA scope of practice and follows policies; maintains competency.
• Performs rooming/visit tasks: vitals, med reconciliation, history, screenings.
• Assists provider with procedures as ordered.
• Performs lab duties: venipuncture, specimen handling, and CLIA-waived tests.
• Administers medications and vaccines following the rights of medication administration.
• Performs additional duties: refills, authorizations, scheduling, referrals.
• Cross-trained for duties within the clinic scope.
• Maintains effective communication and escalation as needed.
• Keeps work area clean, stocked, and equipment ready for use.
• Provides age-appropriate care and understands life-span development.
