Job summary

The Sr. MA may schedule appointments, ensure medical necessity, verify eligibility, and serve as a clinical resource for staff.

Qualifications

• Five years medical assistant experience with highly complex, chronic disease management or in a specialty discipline.
• Sufficient proficiency in English for clinical communications and safety.
• Certifications: CMA/RMA/EMT and BLS (AHA) required or as listed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient examinations, procedures, diagnostics, and dressing changes.
• Schedule patient appointments and verify eligibility for care.
• Preceptor and clinical resource to Medical Assistants; train and orient staff.
