Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group seeks a compassionate Medical Assistant III to support providers in delivering exceptional patient care. You will work directly with patients, assist with clinical procedures, support care coordination, and help create a positive healthcare experience every day.

This role focuses on collecting patient histories, vital signs, exams, testing, and coordinating care while maintaining our mission-driven, patient-centered culture across Southeast Michigan.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience as a credentialed MA
• Current MA certification (CMA/RMA/NCMA/CCMA/NRCMA/CMAC)
• Successful completion of required MA training programs and CPR certification

Responsibilities

• Assist with complex patient care issues.
• Serve as MA preceptor for new and existing MAs.
• Update procedure manuals and manage workflows.
• Act as system superuser.
• Collect and document patient histories and vital signs.
• Assist with exams, procedures, testing, and specimen collection.
• Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed.
• Communicate test results and instructions to patients.
• Provide patient and family education to support outcomes.
• Coordinate care and liaise between patients and providers.
• Support quality improvement and disease management programs.
