Key duties include welcoming patients, taking histories and vitals, assisting with exams and testing, administering medications, and coordinating care with physicians.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; completion of MA program/externship/internship or EMT/Paramedic or Certified Athletic Trainer.
• MA-Non-Credentialed I: MA cert or EMT with MI license, or Paramedic with National Registry or MI license.
• MA-Credentialed I: CMA, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, NRCMA, or CMAC certification.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and prepare patients for appointments.
• Collect and document patient histories, vital signs, and health information.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, testing, and specimen collection.
• Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed.
• Coordinate care and serve as a liaison between patients and providers.
• Provide patient education and support disease management programs.
