Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group in Michigan is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant to support providers in delivering excellent patient care. You will work directly with patients, assist with exams and procedures, collect histories, and help ensure a smooth clinical workflow.

Qualifications

• Completed MA program or equivalent training and current licensure where applicable.
• 0-1 year clinical experience or 2+ years in community clinic if MA program not completed.
• Current CPR certification and immunization requirements met.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and prepare patients for appointments.
• Collect and document patient histories, vital signs, and health information.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, testing, and specimen collection.
• Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed.
• Communicate test results and provider instructions to patients.
• Provide patient and family education to support better health outcomes.
• Coordinate care and serve as a liaison between patients and providers.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and disease management programs.
