Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant to support providers in delivering patient care. You will work with patients, assist with exams, and help coordinate care while supporting education for patients and families.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED with MA program/externship, EMT or Paramedic credentials and a commitment to patient-centered care in a rotating, part-time schedule in Southeast Michigan.

Qualifications

• Education includes High School Diploma or GED and MA program/Externship.
• Credentials/licensure include MA-Non-Credentialed or MA-Credentialed options with CMA/RMA/NCMA/CCMA/NRCMA/CMAC.
• Minimum experience 0–1 year clinical experience or 2+ years in community-based clinical support with testing and evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and prepare patients for appointments.
• Collect and document patient histories, vital signs, and health information.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, testing, and specimen collection.
• Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed.
• Communicate test results and provider instructions to patients.
• Provide patient and family education to support better health outcomes.
• Coordinate care and serve as a liaison between patients and providers.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and disease management programs.
