Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group in Michigan is seeking a Medical Assistant III to support providers in delivering exceptional patient care. You will work directly with patients, assist with clinical procedures, support care coordination, and help create a positive healthcare experience every day.

You will lead as a preceptor for fellow MAs, update procedures, and function as a system superuser while collecting patient histories and vital signs to ensure accurate documentation and efficient

Qualifications

• Three+ years of credentialed MA experience.
• MA program and externship; MA Internship.
• EMT program; Parametric? program; or Certified Athletic Trainer.
• Maintains current MA Re-Certification CEUs.

Responsibilities

• Assist provider with more complex patient care issues.
• Serve as MA preceptor for new and existing MAs.
• Update procedure manual and create/manage workflows.
• Function as system superuser.
• Collect patient histories, vital signs, and health information.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, testing, and specimen collection.
• Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed.
• Communicate test results and provider instructions to patients.
• Educate patients and families to support better health outcomes.
• Coordinate care and liaison between patients and providers.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and disease management programs.
