Job summary

Digitas North America in Boston is seeking an Associate Director of Media Finance to lead our finance team, partner with media leadership, and deliver client value through accurate budgeting, reconciliation, and strategic advisory services. Qualifications

• Four-year college degree and 6–8 years of experience in online media planning/buying/operations or a finance-driven capacity at a creative agency.
• Previous management experience in an agency environment.
• Deep understanding of online media planning, ad-serving tools, media billing reconciliation, negotiation, and performance analysis.
• Strong problem solving, prioritization, multitasking, and time management.
• Excellent communication skills; articulate, straightforward, and kind.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Expertise with MediaOcean Prisma and MBOX.
• Familiarity with prompt-based AI tools (ChatGPT, Google Gemini, DALL-E, Midjourney) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Represent client portfolio to Finance and agency leadership, providing updates on performance, risks, and key initiatives.
• Coach team to ensure consistent, high-quality work and adherence to standards.
• Establish a working process between Media, Media Finance, Accounts Payable and Client Finance.
• Build trust with clients by ensuring audit compliance and prompt billing reconciliation.
• Manage media teams to deadlines, providing process and structure for junior staff.
• Ensure campaign financial documents are filed and updated according to compliance regulations.
• Create ongoing communication feedback and channels with other departments.
• Support planning tools, procurement systems, and process documentation in key initiatives.
• Mentor direct reports with performance evaluation, career advice, motivation and training.
• Willingness to travel as needed – open to new places, faces and ideas.
