Amazon.com Services LLC in Bellevue, WA seeks a Senior Hardware Development Engineer to lead the development of new mechatronic products for AMZL Delivery Stations. The successful candidate will strategize and manage the lifecycle of innovative mechatronic technologies, collaborating with Robotics, SW Tech, Process Engineering, Operations and Facilities to improve the last-mile experience.

Qualifications

5+ years of hardware design and validation for components, subsystems and systems.
Experience using CAD tools to deliver high quality models and designs.
Speak, write, and read fluently in English.
Experience managing projects in a fast pace environment.
Experience carrying design concepts through exploration, development, and into deployment or mass production.
Experience in optimizing machine design for scaled manufacturing (DFx), cost reduction and maintainability.

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end equipment technology development from ideation to on-site implementation.
Write requirements, functional specifications, design verification plans, and functional test procedures.
Collect customer needs and feedback from the technologies deployed in the field to propose new solutions and enhancements.
Influence technical and business decisions working through data-driven contributions based on technology tests and validation plans.
Define and track clear project timelines, manage project budget, conduct regular progress reviews.
Partner with simulation team for validating new ideas and concepts to optimize current workflows and automate manual process paths.
Lead the discussion for scalability strategy of new technologies working with various teams like Engineering, vendors, Supply Chain, Corp Dev, etc.
