Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Senior Hardware Development Engineer to drive development of new mechatronic products for the AMZL Delivery Stations. You will strategize, define, and manage the lifecycle of mechatronic technologies and work with Robotics, SW Tech, Process Engineering, Operations, Facilities and Engineering teams to improve the last-mile experience.

Qualifications

5+ years of hardware design and validation of components, subsystems and systems.
Experience with CAD tools to deliver high quality models and designs.
Fluent English spoken/written.
Experience managing projects in a fast-paced environment.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation or equivalent.
Experience optimizing machine design for scaled manufacturing (DFx) and maintainability.

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end equipment technology development from ideation to on-site implementation.
Write requirements, specifications, test plans and procedures.
Incorporate field feedback to propose solutions and enhancements.
Influence technical and business decisions using data from tests and validation.
Define project timelines, budgets and conduct progress reviews.
Collaborate with simulation, engineering, vendors and supply chain teams to scale technologies.
