Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC in Austin, TX is seeking a Senior Hardware Development Engineer to lead the development of mechatronic products for AMZL Delivery Stations. You will own end-to-end hardware development from ideation to on-site deployment, collaborating with Robotics, SW, Process Engineering, and Operations teams.

You will write requirements and test procedures, analyze field feedback, and define scalable strategies with vendors to improve last-mile automation and the customer experience.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hardware design and validation experience.
• Experience with CAD tools (AutoCAD, Rhino, SolidWorks, CREO, BIM360, SketchUp, KeyShot).
• Fluent in English (speak, write, read).
• Experience managing projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience taking concepts through development to deployment or mass production.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end hardware development for mechatronics products from ideation to on-site deployment.
• Write requirements, specifications, test procedures and verification plans.
• Collect field feedback to propose improvements and new solutions.
• Influence decisions with data from tests and validation plans.
• Define and track project timelines and budgets; coordinate cross-functional teams.
• Partner with simulation teams to validate ideas and optimize workflows.
• Lead scalability discussions with Engineering, vendors, Supply Chain and other teams.
