Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a hardware-focused mechanical engineer for the Last Mile Automation team in Bellevue, WA. You will own the hardware lifecycle, from design through deployment, to enable scalable, fault-tolerant automation at the network edge.

You will collaborate with electrical and software engineers, design parts for multiple manufacturing processes, and work with global suppliers to ensure robust, high-throughput solutions that meet customer SLAs.

Qualifications

• BS in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• Experience with CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CREO).
• Knowledge of mechanical/electrical systems design.
• Experience prototyping and implementing designs.
• Ability to communicate complex concepts visually.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers to integrate sensors, actuators, and control systems.
• Design parts for machining, casting, 3D printing, and other processes.
• Source components and manage production timelines with global partners.
• Perform life-cycle testing and validate designs for reliability.
• Oversee transition from prototype to mass production.
