Amazon Inc. in Bellevue, WA is seeking a Hardware Development Engineer for Last Mile Delivery & Technology. You will own hardware development from design to deployment, building systems to improve throughput and reliability across global sites.

Join a fast-paced team delivering critical automation for micro‑fulfillment and delivery hubs. You will work with sensors, actuators, and control systems, collaborating across engineering disciplines to meet ambitious SLAs and scale globally.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• Prototyping and implementation experience.
• Experience with CAD tools listed in qualifications.
• Ability to design mechanical systems with sensors and actuators.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with electrical and software engineers to integrate sensors, actuators, and control systems.
• Partner with designers to meet product aesthetics and requirements.
• Design parts for machining, casting, 3D printing and other processes.
• Source components with suppliers and manufacturing partners globally.
• Perform life-cycle testing, QA, and failure analysis for reliability.
• Oversee transition from prototype to mass production with partners.
• Maintain detailed design documentation including CAD models and test data.
