Job summary

Amazon is hiring an experienced Hardware Development Engineer to lead mechatronic product development for AMZL Delivery Stations in Bellevue, WA. You will partner with Robotics, SW teams, and Operations to define, prototype, and deploy new automation solutions that improve the last‑mile experience.

You will manage lifecycle from ideation to on-site implementation, write specs and test plans, and influence decisions with data. A strong robotics/engineering background is essential.

Qualifications

3+ years in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience.
Experience with prototyping and implementation.
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
Fluent in English (speaking, writing, reading).

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end equipment technology development from ideation to on-site implementation.
Write requirements, specs, test plans, and procedures.
Gather customer needs and feedback to propose improvements.
Use data from tests to influence technical and business decisions.
Define and track project timelines and budgets.
Conduct regular progress reviews and reporting.
Collaborate with simulation teams to validate ideas.
Lead scalability discussions with cross-functional teams.
