Job summary

The Nuclear Company is seeking a Manager, Mechanical Services to lead the planning, execution, and growth of TNC Services' mechanical maintenance and field service operations for nuclear power plants and other customers.

You will provide technical leadership, oversee safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, and drive continuous improvement across projects, mentoring teams and coordinating with utility customers and leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Power Plant Technology, Industrial Technology, Engineering Technology, or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of experience in mechanical maintenance, repair, installation, or outage execution in power generation or heavy industrial environments.
• 3+ years in leadership or project management overseeing technical teams or field service operations.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems: pumps, seals, valves, heat exchangers, piping, rotating equipment.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, schematics, P&IDs, OEM specs, and technical documents.
• Experience managing complex maintenance or outage projects including estimating, budgeting, scheduling, and staffing.
• Working knowledge of nuclear safety culture and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical maintenance, inspection, repair, installation, and outage support projects from planning through completion.
• Provide technical leadership for mechanical field services in line with industry best practices and specifications.
• Develop project scopes, work packages, schedules, staffing plans, budgets, and execution strategies.
• Monitor project performance, budgets, schedules, and KPIs to ensure successful delivery.
• Support proposal development, technical estimating, and business development for mechanical services.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting to support decisions.
• Supervise and mentor mechanical technicians and field staff; foster accountability and safety culture.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality requirements, and OEM guidelines etc.
• Collaborate with customers, sales, operations to align staffing and delivery.
• Participate in outages planning, technical evaluations, and industry events to identify opportunities.
