Job summary

LVI Associates is seeking an experienced Project Executive in Richmond, VA to oversee the successful delivery of a large-scale mechanical construction project. You will provide executive leadership across project operations, financial performance, client relations, and team development, serving as the primary accountability from inception through closeout.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in mechanical construction is required.
• 7+ years managing large-scale mechanical projects or programs.
• Proven experience overseeing projects >$50M in value.
• Strong background in HVAC, plumbing, piping, and mechanical systems installation.
• Demonstrated success leading Project Managers and construction teams.
• Knowledge of contract administration, budgeting, forecasting, and risk management.
• Ability to travel and work on-site as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic oversight for all phases of project execution.
• Lead Project Managers, Superintendents, Engineers, and project staff.
• Develop and implement project execution strategies to achieve safety, quality, schedule, and financial objectives.
• Drive collaboration between field operations, preconstruction, VDC/BIM, procurement, and leadership.
• Establish project goals, milestones, and performance metrics.
• Maintain accountability for project P&L and financial reporting.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cost controls, and procurement strategies.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships with owners, developers, and design teams.
• Lead executive-level project meetings and presentations.
• Support contract negotiations, dispute resolution, and risk management initiatives.
• Monitor schedule performance and resource allocation; ensure compliance with safety and standards.
• Mentor and develop Project Managers and emerging leaders; succession planning.
