Job summary

Stantec is seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer in the data center field to guide mechanical design across projects. You will mentor junior staff, lead technical discussions, and coordinate multidisciplinary teams to meet client needs. The role emphasizes cutting-edge design and strong client interaction.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in mission-critical design, PE licensure or equivalent, and proficiency with Autodesk tools. This position supports multiple U.S.

Qualifications

• Accredited engineering degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 10+ years related industry experience preferred.
• Mission critical / data center experience required.
• Registered professional engineer (PE) license or other certification based on expertise required.

Responsibilities

• Assist business development with input on RFPs/RFQs and participate in project interviews and presentations.
• Manage technical project process, scope, schedule, and budget for own discipline; resolve inconsistencies with project manager.
• Delegate tasks to project engineers and designers within own discipline.
• Follow quality management process; conduct project reviews and approvals before QA/QC by technical authority.
• Build and maintain strong client relations; articulate project requirements, progress, challenges, and troubleshooting to clients and technical staff.
• Lead technical discussions and mechanical workgroups; identify key requirements and adapt design to meet objectives.
• Coordinate with all disciplines to integrate work and client requests into design.
• Act as supervisor to design staff; mentor and develop team members.
