Job summary

Stantec’s Buildings team seeks a Senior Project Engineer, Mechanical to guide data center design, mentor junior staff, and lead technical efforts across disciplines. This role emphasizes trusted advisory support to clients and project teams, ensuring high-quality, cutting-edge solutions.

With 10+ years in mission critical design, you will coordinate with engineers, designers, and project managers to meet scope, schedule, and budget while advancing industry standards and best practices.

Qualifications

• Accredited engineering degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 10+ years related industry experience.
• Mission critical / data center design experience required.
• PE license or other professional certification preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to mentor and guide junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical design for data center projects across disciplines.
• Mentor project engineers and designers to ensure quality deliverables.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to meet schedule and budget.
• Develop design guides and templates for data center projects.
• Participate in business development and client communications.
