Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Mission Critical Facilities Project Engineer to execute technically challenging data center designs under the Senior Project Engineer. You will guide designers, deliver drawings and specifications, and ensure client expectations are met while integrating multi-discipline work.

The role requires 7+ years in the field, accredited engineering credentials, and may lead mechanical efforts on projects with potential PE or equivalent certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Accredited engineering degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 7+ years in related industry; datacenter experience preferred.
• PE license or other professional certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops advanced systems designs within own discipline with limited supervision.
• Delegates tasks to project designers as appropriate.
• Prepares project deliverables (drawings, specifications, reports) per client scope and intent.
• Assists in evaluating and selecting mechanical equipment.
• Coordinates with all disciplines to integrate work and client requests.
• Follows quality management process; reviews deliverables before QA/QC.
• Reviews shop drawings and submittals, responds to RFIs, prepares site reports and punch lists.
• Assists Senior Project Engineer on project tasks.
• Serves as mechanical lead on projects as directed by Project Manager.
• Participates in data center engineering community for growth.
