Ryan Companies US, Inc. is seeking a Senior Mechanical Preconstruction Manager to join our National Mission Critical team.

You will lead preconstruction activities, develop cost models, and guide design and estimating efforts for mechanical systems across projects. Ideal candidates have a strong background in commercial/mechanical construction, data center experience, and the ability to coordinate with architects, engineers, and procurement teams to deliver accurate estimates and competitive

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture or Construction Management (or equivalent).
• 10+ years in commercial/mechanical construction; data center experience preferred.
• Experience with preconstruction for mechanical subcontractors.
• Experience in early procurement of scopes/equipment.
• Knowledge of CSI and Uniformat II work breakdown structures.
• Ability to perform quantity take-offs and summarize data clearly.
• Familiar with DESTINI Estimator, Excel, OST and Bluebeam.
• Strong proactive communication and client collaboration.
• Understanding of construction means, methods, and procurement.

Responsibilities

• Develop conceptual and detailed estimates for mechanical scope at design stages.
• Scope and select subcontractors based on value and requirements.
• Solicit subcontractor pricing and evaluate for bids and budgeting.
• Perform quantity take-offs for all mechanical systems.
• Record final estimates and maintain cost history.
• Support preconstruction with value design, scheduling, procurement, and pursuits.
• Assist in training Cost Engineers and Project Managers.
• Provide guidance on mechanical scope and market pricing.
• Develop early project schedules with field teams.
• Prepare persuasive sales presentations to prospective clients.
