Job summary

EMCOR Group is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead mechanical and electrical construction projects in the Aurora, CO area. This role oversees planning, scheduling, budgeting, and coordination with field teams and subcontractors to ensure successful project execution.

You will control project finances, manage procurement, and drive adherence to budgets and schedules while maintaining safety and quality standards across multiple disciplines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CM or ME or related field with 5+ years progressive construction experience, or 12 years.
• Associate degree and 10 years progressive construction experience.
• Proficient in Accubid, Microsoft Project, and Bluebeam.
• Familiar with local municipal plans, permitting, codes, and inspections.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate and sustain relationships with clients, colleagues, supervisors, staff, field workers, vendors, and subcontractors.
• Develop project financial plans: budgets, buyouts, and CAD budgets; manage schedules of values.
• Oversee subcontractor engagement from scope to payments; negotiate change orders.
• Ensure adherence to project scope and manage changes to align with client expectations.
• Manage project startup, staffing, kickoff meetings, and weekly progress meetings; maintain schedules.
• Finalize project closeout: POs, subcontracts, warranty letters; ensure warranty terms.
• Monitor costs and prepare final cost projections to avoid overruns.
• Coordinate site mobilization/demobilization, laydowns, and utility hookups.
• Prepare RFIs and submittals; deliver to CAD for drawings integration.
• Collaborate with safety to implement project-specific safety requirements.
