Job summary

EMCOR Group is seeking a Preconstruction Manager to lead planning, coordination, and execution of preconstruction activities for mechanical projects in a Colorado context. You will oversee estimating, budgeting, design-build collaboration, and procurement strategies while mentoring engineers and estimators.

This role emphasizes risk management and continuous improvement. As a strategic partner to owners and designers, you will ensure accurate scoping, competitive pricing, and smooth project

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field required.
• 7–10 years of progressive mechanical construction estimating and preconstruction experience.
• 3+ years of leadership or team management.
• Strong understanding of HVAC, piping, and mechanical systems.
• Experience estimating conceptual budgets and detailed construction estimates.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop preconstruction engineers and estimators.
• Set priorities, workloads, and schedules for proposals and estimates.
• Foster collaboration across preconstruction, engineering, operations, and leadership.
• Drive continuous improvement and risk management in preconstruction.
• Support business development and client presentations.
• Review quantity takeoffs, labor calculations, and material costs.
• Build relationships with owners, developers, and contractors.
