AtkinsRéalis seeks a Senior Mechanical/Piping Designer to join our team across multiple US locations, including Orange CT. The role supports remote work within the United States or hybrid work in one of our US hubs.

You will design process piping and equipment for power generation and industrial facilities, create 3D models, and produce PFDs and P&IDs under supervision. You will collaborate with architects, electrical engineers, and clients, mentor colleagues, and travel to client sites as

Qualifications

• Two-year degree in mechanical discipline or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Minimum 15 years’ experience in an engineering design firm.
• Experience with power plant design (combined cycle, simple cycle, nuclear).
• Experience with ASME B31.1 Power Piping and the design and routing of high pressure steam and feedwater piping.
• Experience with pipe support design.
• Experience with ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code Section 1 a plus.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, Plant 3D, SP3D SmartPlant, Navisworks, Revit and BIM.

Responsabilités

• Prepare designs for process piping and equipment for power generation facilities.
• Create PFDs and P&IDs under supervision of process engineer.
• Layout piping systems and equipment in 3D with BOM.
• Coordinate with architect and electrical engineer.
• Review progress of construction in the field.
• Participate in commissioning of systems.
• Mentor team members and interface with clients and contractors.
