Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Senior Piping Engineer to join our team in a fully remote capacity, with alignment to the Oak Ridge, TN office. You will lead piping system design, analysis, and implementation for nuclear and commercial projects, creating detailed drawings, P&IDs, and 3D models, and performing stress analyses to ensure safety and reliability.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, strong knowledge of relevant codes, and familiarity with CAD tools

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in nuclear industry preferred.
• PE license preferred.
• CAD software experience (e.g., SolidWorks).
• Eligible to work under 10 CFR Part 810.

Responsibilities

• Design, layout, install and maintain piping systems and supports.
• Create detailed drawings, P&IDs, and 3D models for piping routes and plant setup.
• Perform stress analysis using applicable software to ensure structural integrity.
• Review technical documents and drawings such as GA, ISO, pipe supports, P&ID; calculations and data sheets.
• Mentor junior engineers and conduct quality reviews as needed.
• Collaborate in multi-discipline teams to integrate design across disciplines.
