AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Senior Mechanical/Piping Designer to join our team with responsibilities across multiple US hubs. The role entails designing piping systems and process equipment for power generation and industrial facilities in a hybrid/remote US setting.

The candidate will create PFDs, P&IDs, and 3D layouts, coordinate with architects and electrical engineers, and mentor junior staff. The ideal candidate has 15+ years in engineering design, a two-year mechanical degree, and

Qualifications

• Two-year degree in mechanical discipline or equivalent.
• 15+ years of experience in an engineering design firm.
• Experience with power plant design (combined cycle, simple cycle, nuclear).
• Experience with ASME B31.1 Power Piping and high-pressure piping routing.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, design, modify, coordinate and review designs for process piping and equipment.
• Develop PFDs and P&IDs under supervision.
• Layout complex piping systems and equipment in 3D with BOM.
• Coordinate with architects and electrical engineers on system interfaces.
• Mentor team members and interface with clients, contractors, and other offices.
• Travel to client sites as needed and support commissioning of systems.
