Job summary

AtkinsRéalis seeks an experienced Senior Process Mechanical Engineer, Power, to lead design for combined cycle and simple cycle power plants. You will size equipment, model systems, and develop P&IDs while coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams and clients to ensure technical success.

You will mentor engineers, review submittals, and maintain safety and quality standards across projects in a hybrid/remote working arrangement in the Bothell, WA area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or chemical engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of engineering experience in power generation or industrial facilities.
• Experience with P&ID checks, equipment specs, and mechanical design deliverables.
• Experience with design tools listed (AFT Fathom, Arrow, GT Pro, Steam Pro, Thermoflex).

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical engineering design for combined cycle and simple cycle power generation systems.
• Lead and direct the mechanical engineering team to meet quality and schedule targets.
• Collaborate with multi-discipline teams, clients, and partners to ensure project success.
• Prepare calculations, schematics, documents, and design deliverables with clear references.
• Develop equipment specifications for pumps, heat exchangers, pressure vessels, and boilers.
