Job summary

ENFRA is seeking a Mechanical Professional Engineer II to independently design and coordinate mechanical systems for energy and infrastructure projects across campuses. You will lead portions of projects, producing code-compliant, constructible HVAC, hydronic, and thermal plant designs while solving complex technical challenges.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in architectural engineering, mechanical engineering, or related.
• 7+ years of design experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) License.
• Advanced knowledge of mechanical systems and design practices.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication and technical writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Signing and sealing engineering documents.
• Lead design and analysis for projects of moderate complexity (mechanical systems, plumbing, fire protection).
• Develop project deliverables including calculations, drawings, specifications, and reports.
• Evaluate existing systems and develop innovative design solutions.
• Prepare detailed system configurations and control sequences for energy savings and reliability.
• Conduct field investigations and site visits; coordinate 3D laser scanning when needed.
• Coordinate with internal disciplines and support construction-phase activities.
• Mentor junior engineers and designers; interface with clients on technical matters.
