Job summary

ENFRA is seeking a Mechanical Professional Engineer II to independently design and coordinate HVAC, hydronic, and thermal plant systems for energy and infrastructure projects across campuses. This role leads portions of projects, delivering code-compliant, constructible designs while supporting permitting, procurement, and field conditions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of mechanical design experience.
• PE license and strong communication/writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Signing and sealing engineering documents.
• Leads design and analysis of mechanical systems for projects of moderate complexity.
• Develops project deliverables including calculations, drawings, and technical specifications.
• Improves existing systems and supports development of new solutions.
• Prepares detailed system configurations and control schemes with emphasis on long-term energy savings.
• Conducts field investigations and supports site visits; coordinates 3D laser scanning effort.
• Coordinates with internal disciplines and supports construction-phase activities.
• Performs work with a high degree of latitude and resolves complex technical issues.
• Provides informal mentorship to junior engineers and designers.
• Interfaces directly with clients on technical matters.
• May act as task lead or discipline lead on projects.
