Job summary

ENFRA is seeking a Mechanical Professional Engineer II to independently apply advanced engineering techniques for design and coordination of mechanical systems across hospital and college campuses. You will lead portions of projects, develop constructible, code‑compliant designs for HVAC, hydronic, and thermal plant systems, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

You will support permitting and procurement, address field conditions, and deliver calculations and documentation ensuring

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in architectural engineering, mechanical engineering, or related.
• 7+ years of design experience.
• PE License required.
• Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
• Strong communication and technical writing skills.
• Preferred: Master's degree in Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Signing and sealing engineering documents.
• Design and analysis of mechanical systems for projects of moderate complexity.
• Developing deliverables including calculations, drawings, and specifications.
• Improving existing systems and developing new solutions.
• Preparing detailed system configurations and control schemes for energy savings.
• Conducting field investigations and coordinating 3D laser scanning.
• Coordinating with internal disciplines and supporting construction activities.
• Mentoring junior engineers and designers.
• Interfacing with clients on technical matters.
• Acting as task lead or discipline lead on projects.
