Job summary

ENFRA seeks a Mechanical Professional Engineer II to independently apply advanced techniques for designing and coordinating mechanical systems across hospital and college campuses. You will lead portions of projects, producing code‑compliant, constructible HVAC, hydronic, and thermal plant designs while solving complex technical challenges.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate designs with existing facilities, support permitting and procurement, and address field

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in architectural engineering, mechanical engineering, or related field.
• PE license required for practice.
• Strong problem solving and decision making skills.

Responsibilities

• Signing and sealing engineering documents.
• Leads design and analysis of mechanical systems for projects of moderate complexity.
• Develops project deliverables including calculations, drawings, and technical specifications.
• Improves existing systems and supports development of new solutions.
• Prepares detailed system configurations and control schemes with emphasis on long‑term energy savings.
• Conducts field investigations and supports site visits; coordinates and plans 3D laser scanning.
• Coordinates with internal disciplines and supports construction‑phase activities.
• Resolves complex technical issues independently.
• Provides informal mentorship to junior engineers and designers.
• Interfaces directly with clients on technical matters.
