Job summary

Ash Grove Cement Company is seeking an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Technician III to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical equipment at our Sumterville, FL cement plant. Work includes conveyors, pumps, kilns, mills, fans, bearings, hydraulics, and pneumatics in a heavy industrial setting.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, performing root-cause analysis, and supporting outages and special projects while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of mechanical or industrial maintenance experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Welding, cutting, fabrication, and rigging experience.
• Ability to work rotating shifts and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on plant mechanical equipment including conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, bearings, fans, mills, kilns, hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Diagnose mechanical issues and complete repairs to minimize downtime and support production.
• Perform precision alignment using dial indicators, lasers and other measurement tools.
• Inspect, repair and replace bearings, belts, chains, seals, valves, gauges and couplings.
• Read and work from blueprints and equipment drawings; assist with outages and special projects.
