Job summary

Ash Grove Cement, a CRH Company, is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Technician III to support cement plant operations. The role requires hands-on mechanical maintenance, welding, precision alignment, and factory safety adherence.

Responsibilities include inspecting and repairing kiln and mill components, piping systems, conveyors, and hydraulic/pneumatic equipment while maintaining documentation and supporting continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications

• High school graduation or equivalent is required.
• Graduate of certified Millwright or Industrial Maintenance Apprentice Program preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of mechanical maintenance experience is preferred.
• Ability to read, write and understand warning labels, instructions, signs, etc. Willingness to learn; training will be provided.
• Basic computer skills preferred.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, overtime and accept call-ins after hours and on weekends.

Responsibilities

• Promote and follow all plant safety guidelines.
• Align sheaves and V-Belts using precision equipment.
• Inspect and repair clinker cooler parts and Kiln components.
• Assemble, install and maintain pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
• Perform precision alignment using dial indicators and lasers.
• Perform routine maintenance planning and documentation.
• Assist with rigging of heavy loads and 5S housekeeping.
• Operate cutting torch and welding equipment as needed.
• Fabricate from prints and sketches with accuracy and timeliness.
• Repair and replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators and related equipment.
