Job summary

Black & Veatch is seeking a Mechanical HVAC / Plumbing Engineer to design buildings across the Federal market sector. You will execute and review mechanical designs, including drawings, specs, and submittals, and collaborate with seasoned professionals on diverse facilities such as offices, laboratories, and manufacturing spaces.

The role demands leadership, strong communication, and experience with HVAC/piping design.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
• Minimum of 5 years related work experience.
• Active engineering registration/licensure to support EOR preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure project compliance with codes and standards.
• Create and maintain mechanical project execution plans.
• Lead and mentor team members on HVAC and plumbing design.
• Develop drawings, specifications, and submittal reviews for facilities.
• Coordinate with other disciplines and stakeholders on projects.
• Create energy models and life cycle cost analyses using IESVE/BLCC.
• Produce 2D drawings (P&IDs, control diagrams) in Revit.
